Temperature Cloud Skirt for LDR

This project is aiming to design a wearable product to help people under variable situations. Wearable devices are widely popular over recent years, in order to expand functionalities, companies and designers are pushing frequent and innovative updates to both the devices and the partner applications. However, wearable devices existing in the market are not as accessible as we think. How to make wearable devices more accessible to all? With inclusive UX design challenge for wearable devices, we are able to have a deeper look in this problem.

Insights

Through my research, I have discovered that social networks sites (SNS) plays an increasingly important role especially for maintaining long-distance romantic relationships. According to this article written by An, Chen, I realized one other possible way to develop my concept which is using wearables to build a physical connection between two people. He introduces three different possible solutions for people to communicate and help long-distance couples have a healthier relationship. By conducting and interviewing LDR people, he listed out the POG ( product opportunity gap) and tried to avoid the disadvantages of LDRs and sustained the advantages of LDRs.

From Kolozsvari’s article, “Physically we are apart, mentally we are not”, it defines the meaning of shared space. Despite the fact that LDR people are not physically live together, they still could feel a shared space through whatever Skype uses. None of all those people felt that they had a permanent shared physical space during the long-distance relationship.

DHT (DHT11 version) Temperature and Humidity Sensor , Fiber Fill , Hot Glue , LED light…etc

LM35 is a precision IC temperature sensor with its output proportional to the temperature (in °C). With LM35, temperature can be measured more accurately than with a thermistor.
